In the past, when a lord set off on a tour of his lands to hunt or see his subjects, he always took with him a large pitcher of white wine, which he entrusted to a servant. The servant's job was to find a babbling fountain or secret spring and hide the wine in its mysterious, cool waters to quench the noble's thirst a little later on. This white wine, a product of wine-making traditions and modern vinification methods, may be found in bottles of Baron d'Albret Blanc. Just the same as the wine enjoyed by the Gascon lords.
