Two of Jeanne d'Arc's three "lieutenants" originated from the Buzet region: Poton de Xaintrailles and La Hire. According to the mythology surrounding Jeanne, Xaintrailles had his own lieutenant. He was so valiant, so full of ardour and pride, that Poton made him a noble and called him "D'Ardeuil". A superb, highly elegant name. His memory still haunts the region's beautiful hills that we call "croupes". The "Baron's goblet" was born in these airy valleys. The glass of the Baron d’Ardeuil, who loved noble wines.
And it's no coincidence if the Baron d’Ardeuil 2005 vintage is also full of nobility and grandeur on the palate. And character. A wine that should be knighted.
