Like its big brother the red, Baron d'Ardeuil white is the Buzet Winemakers' leading wine, firstly because it is excellent and goes beautifully with fish and seafood and secondly because it is a marvellous aperitif. Like the red, the white takes its quality from its origins and the Sémillon grape variety on which it is based (62%). The rest is Sauvignon, harvested from vines that are all over 20 years old, whose interminable roots have burrowed deep down into the gravel soils to seek out the divine essences that make a great wine.
Don't miss the 2005 vintage for anything. It brings out genius in oysters and intelligence in a fillet of monkfish.
