In the 6th and 7th Centuries, the Church was responsible for the great expansion and European reputation of Buzet wine. It owned most of the vineyards and, to show everyone who was in charge of the land, planted crosses everywhere. So it's perfectly logical to find an estate called "la croix" (cross). The estate has high-quality soils that allow the Cabernet grapes to fully express themselves and the Merlot to give of their best.
