Before the phylloxera crisis in the late 19th Century, the Buzet region was famous for its white wines. François Ist loved them and couldn't eat fish or seafood without a glass of Buzet white. Once the American aphid crisis had passed, the Buzet Winemakers began once again to make their white wine with patience, passion and determination, constantly tasting and tasting again to achieve a sort of perfection. It was this rediscovered white wine, named "Renaissance", that restored the appellation’s reputation.
This is the white wine from the 2005 vintage: clear as a slightly misty morning, gold and emerald. Delightfully charming and fresh!
